David Lewis is a Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer of Pershing Limited, an affiliate of Pershing LLC and a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. David has overall management responsibility for all operational processing functions for the firm’s European business. Prior to joining Pershing, David was based in Melbourne, Australia, where he held senior operational and business development positions at the Sydney Futures Exchange Corporation Limited, and worked with Citigroup Australia to develop their private client, custody, and treasury operations. Prior to that, David spent 17 years at Merrill Lynch in London and Frankfurt, where he held senior positions in operations, treasury, and finance. Most recently, David was Director of Operations responsible for planning and implementing Merrill Lynch’s expansion into the equity clearing and custody business in Europe.
