James SmartDirector, Chief Financial Officer, Pershing Limited
James Smart is Director and Chief Financial Officer of Pershing Limited, an affiliate of Pershing LLC and a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. Prior to joining Pershing, James held senior accounting roles at New Star Asset Management and Baring Asset Management. At New Star Asset Management, James managed the integration of several new businesses and prepared the company for flotation on the Alternative Investment Market Stock Exchange in 2005. At Baring Asset Management, James was the Group Financial Controller responsible for group reporting to ING. James is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
