Tom Guinan is a Managing Director and Credit Officer of Pershing LLC, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. Tom began his Pershing career in 1984 following the firm’s acquisition of A.G. Becker Paribas, Inc., where he served as the Senior Risk Control Manager for the firm’s Becko division. He has held a number of credit, control, and compliance roles at Pershing LLC and is responsible for setting credit policies and monitoring Introducing Broker-Dealer and registered investment advisor activity from the perspective of their credit exposure to Pershing. Tom serves on a number of industry working groups dedicated to credit and risk management issues, including committees at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and the New York Stock Exchange.
