Tom Guinan is a Managing Director and Global Credit and Market Risk Manager of Pershing, a BNY Mellon company. Tom began his Pershing career in 1984 following the firm’s acquisition of A.G. Becker Paribas, Inc, where he served as the Senior Risk Control Manager for the firm’s Becko division. He has held a number of credit, control, and compliance roles at Pershing, a BNY Mellon company and is responsible for setting credit policies and monitoring Introducing Broker-Dealer, Prime Services and Registered Investment Advisor activity from the perspective of their credit exposure to Pershing. Tom chairs Pershing's Credit and Market Risk Committee and is responsible for monitoring the firm's market risk exposure. Tom serves on a number of industry working groups dedicated to credit and risk management issues, including committees at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and FINRA.
